This production reimagines Shakespeare's comedy as a swashbuckling adventure on the island of Messina, a pirate stronghold where Captain Don Pedro and his crew arrive after plundering the seas. When the young soldier Claudio falls for Hero, the spirited daughter of Messina's leader, romance blooms amid the chaos. Benedick and Beatrice, two sharp-tongued rivals, trade barbs that cut as deep as any cutlass, while Don Pedro's treacherous brother Don Jon schemes to wreck everything with lies and betrayal.
