The Saskatchewan International Raceway marks 60 years of drag racing with a full day of high-speed racing on the track. The event runs from 9 a.m. to approximately 9 p.m. and features jet cars that shoot walls of fire, nitro funny cars and dragsters, alcohol dragsters, pro mods, nitro Harleys, top sportsman cars, and turbo street cars all racing at speeds over 415 km/h. The main feature races run at 2 p.m., 4:30 p.m., and 7 p.m., with a 20-minute firework show after the last pass. Spectators get free pit access to walk up close to the cars and drivers, and kids 12 and under get in free. Camping is available Thursday through Saturday for an extra fee. The event is all-ages and family-friendly, and racing happens rain or shine.
