Every Tuesday after 2pm, Original Joe's cuts a pound of wings to half price, dine-in only. Pick a flavour, add a house draught (tanks are a dollar off on Tuesdays too), and settle into a booth.
It is the easy answer for the north end of the city, and the kitchen runs the deal straight through close, so a late plate counts.

a craft distillery that has been making gin, vodka, and grain spirits in the city since 2012, with a tasting room attached to the still house. drop in most afternoons to sample the lineup and talk to the people who actually make it, or book ahead for a cocktail class if you want to learn to mix. it is small, friendly, and the kind of place where you leave knowing a bit about how the spirit in your glass came together. a good first stop on a night out, or a gift run with a built-in tasting. take a bottle home.
the first year-round public market in the province, housed in the historic farmers market building in Riversdale. inside you will find local food, drink, fresh grocery, prepared meals, and makers selling under one roof, open through every season. from May into September an outdoor farmers market spills out two days a week with produce and growers. it is a good place to graze, pick up something to take home, and see local makers in person. come hungry and leave with bags.
